A big thanks to my friend, Maria, for passing along this great article on High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). If you are not familiar with the term, it is essentially exercising at high intensity for short bursts followed by a period of low intensity. You can take it into nearly any workout regimen: swimming, running, or biking, to name a few. This is how I lost the bulk of my weight. I used this technique on the elliptical by increasing incline and tension at 2-minute intervals. Check out this article for more information.
